IDOS’ research programme „Transformation of Economic and Social Systems” is looking for a Economist (m/f/diverse) – Position number 2023-B-02. Full time 100% (39 hours/week); permanent position.

The selected economist will contribute to research and policy advice on global economic challenges with a focus on developing and emerging economies. In particular, we seek a scholar with expertise on international trade, global value chains (GVCs), foreign direct investment (FDI), international finance and/or financial sector development. A track record of excellent empirical research and experience with third party funding are key criteria. We also require excellent communication skills for advising policy-makers on implications of research findings and building networks at the science-policy interface.
