The Chair of International and Development Politics (Prof. Axel Dreher) offers a position as Doctoral Student (50%). The doctoral student enters an interdisciplinary environment at the intersection of applied development economics and political science. Our areas of expertise include development economics, political economy, foreign aid, migration, and international organizations. We expect candidates to have an excellent university degree (master or equivalent, 1.5 or better on the German grading scale) in economics or political science with emphasis on applied methods. Proficiency in English in speaking and writing is essential (knowledge of German is helpful but not necessary). Excellent skills in econometrics are required.
