Conference 2020 in Hamburg

„Development Economics and Policy“

The 2020 annual conference is planned to take place on June 25-26, 2020.

Please note: Due to the spread of COVID-19, it is far from certain that the conference can take place as planned. A final decision will be made by May 20. We kindly you ask you to refrain from any questions regarding this decision before that date.

Location: GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies and Helmut-Schmidt-University Hamburg.

Selection Committee: Axel Dreher (Heidelberg University), Andreas Fuchs (University of Göttingen/IfW Kiel), Michael Grimm (University of Passau), Isabel Günther (ETH Zürich), Anke Hoeffler (University of Konstanz), Jann Lay (GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies) and Rainer Thiele (Kiel Institute for the World Economy).

Program: The program will start with a parallel session on Thursday, June 25 at 3.30pm and end on Friday, June 26, at 7pm. The conference dinner will be held on Thursday. There is an optional dinner on Friday (at your own expense).
