The Research Group on Development Economics awards the promotion prize for practice-oriented development research in close cooperation with the KfW Development Bank.
The prize aims to promote the dialogue between science and practice and honors outstanding research that deepens the understanding of how development happens, succeeds or can be funded. The prize is aimed at young scientists and honors three doctoral theses that combine scientific excellence and practical relevance for development policy.
The Research Prize Committee consists of Prof. Dr. Erdmute Alber (University of Bayreuth), Prof. Dr. Clara Brandi (IDOS and University of Bonn), Prof. Dr. Gregor Dobler (Universität Freiburg), Prof. Matthias Schündeln, Ph.D. (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt), Prof. Dr. Krisztina Kis-Katos (University of Göttingen), Prof. Dr. Javier Revilla Diez (University of Cologne), Prof. Dr. Ulrike Grote (University of Hannover) as well as the KfW Development Bank.
